Green Eyes
Gently touching your face,
carefully measuring the race,
my hand afraid to make you leave,
a tug-o’-war ’tween lust and sleeve
Oh innocence abandon hope,
unto the fear inside I cope,
the skin touching producing heat,
inside your green eyes I am complete
Lips pressed and tongue unbound,
our breathe together the only sound,
untethered from earth we move and soar,
a feeling so strong we can’t ignore
When feelings abate our hands intertwine,
a knot of love by God’s design,
while warmth about our bodies thin,
our words caress the souls within
Gently touching your face,
no lust within to cherry the pace,
your lips and smile so tasty sweet,
inside your green eyes I am complete.
